The WhisperGRIP Traction Control system integrates our BowDAMP™ suspension material into the idle wheel forcing the idle wheel to return to its original position, rather than rotating and slipping under the string; preventing a loss of energy causing the bow to pick up a couple feet per second and maintaining excellent nock travel.

When the bow is drawn back, the Whisper Creek Interlocking System engages and slides down along the linear guide pins while pre-loading (compressing) the BowDAMP™ suspension material. Once the bow is released from full draw, the HyperSUSPENSION™ axle system is converted into a true independent drive axle suspension system - the same independent suspension technology you'll find on a four-wheeler, SUV, or truck! As you can see from the picture to the right, the axle is 100% de-coupled from the limb (free-floating) but is always controlled through the interlocking system. The actuation motion of the interlocking system within the BowDAMP™ suspension material dissipates impact, noise, and vibration instantaneously at the source! It is virtually impossible to have wheel lean or accuracy/repeatability issues due to the Whisper Creek Interlocking System.
